In the Caribbean, March falls within the dry season (December–May), making it a prime time for harvesting citrus, specific tropical fruits, and various vegetables

Here are the seasonal crops that "break" (harvest/come into season) during March in the Caribbean:

Fruits

  • Mangoes: While peak season is later, some varieties like Haden, Keitt, and Tommy Atkins begin to be available in March.

  • Star Apple: Peak season runs from February to May.

  • Otaheite Apple: Peak season often occurs between December and March.

  • Passion Fruit: Season runs from January to March.

  • Jackfruit: Harvest begins in March and runs through June.

  • Citrus: Oranges, tangerines, grapefruits, and limes are in season.

  • Papaya: Available during the drier months.

  • Naseberry (Sapodilla): Generally in season during this period.

  • Callaloo: A staple leafy green often available.
